High Cliff Connection WisDOT TAP Grant Success!

The City of Menasha and Village of Harrison were recently awarded WisDOT Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) grants to complete feasibility studies for various sections of the proposed High Cliff Connection. These grants are 80% federal funds and 20% local funds.

The Village and City applied for these grants in January 2023 with the collaboration of the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.  The Foundation pledged to cover the local 20% match required for these grants.

The Master Plan for this corridor was adopted by ECWRPC in October 2022. The Master  Plan identified potential conceptual connections based on public input.

The feasibility studies are the next step in project development that will review benefits and challenges of various potential alignments. The Feasibility Studies will also include additional public involvement.

The feasibility studies will focus on the following areas (see map above):

– “The local roads” connections — Manitowoc Road, Old Highway Road, and Pigeon Road.

– “STH 114” connections – the segments along STH 114 from Oneida Street to Lake Park Road & segment to Pigeon Roa
